TEST CYCLE
The test cycle of the tester machine previews the
following steps:
1° -
Introduction of the cans in the can tester
2° -
Creation of the right step between the cans and their insertion
in the pockets of the rotating table
3° -
The cans are moved as far as they touch the rubber heads
mounted on the testing heads which realize an hermetic closure
resting on the edge of the cans that have to be tested
4° - a
vacuum (or a pressure) is created inside the can and immediately
the pneumatic circuit is closed by a special valve
5° - a
transducer realizes a first reading of the vacuum (pressure)
value inside the can and this value is immediately memorized by
the PLC
6° -
after an half turn of the rotating table, the testing head
reaches the second transducer that realizes another reading of
the vacuum (pressure) value remained inside the can and also
this value is memorized by the PLC
7° -
THE PLC CALCULATES THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO READINGS and
compares this value with a threshold previously set : if the
difference is bigger than the allowed limit, then the can is
considered faulty and so it will be ejected.
8° - the valve opens again the pneumatic
circuit, the cans come off from the rubber heads of the testing
heads end exit on the conveyor.
